Kingfisher Singers
The Kingfisher Singers led by Davina Brisley make a return visit this month after a gap of two years to restart our concert series after the summer break. It will be good to have them back again and to listen to the particular style and variety of music. Talking to Davina recently she told me that the programme will include ‘songs from the shows’ as well as some classic items. She also said that will be some solo items to entertain us on the piano and singers from the choir.
Our development projects, which include the youth Drop-in Centre, naturally need funding and there can be few better ways of raising money than by listening to local musicians. Our Drop-in Centre will require more capital than was originally envisaged but we are still pressing ahead believing that this is what we are being called to do.
So please make a note in your diaries, tell your families and friends about the concert and come to support folk who will be presenting the concert.
The next concert at GMC will have happened before the issue of October’s New Messenger so a little information about that.
