Organisations that use the Church Premises

The following organisations use the church premises on a weekly basis.  Details of days, dates and timings to follow:

ST LUKE'S PRE SCHOOL (ROCHESTER)
Description of Group
St Luke's provide a fun-filled curriculum, enhancing children’s development through academic skills to music and drama, building their confidence and self-esteem.
 
St Luke's staff are pro-active in attending courses for new and exciting ideas, all trained first-aiders and with C.R.B.’s.
 
We have pride in our relationships with parents, professionals and schools.  We have successfully integrated many S.E.N. children with diverse needs including Autism, Speech and Language using Signalong.
 
Our sensory garden and lunch-club has extended our provision further.

Mon & Tues 9.15am - 1.00pm & 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Wed - Fri 9.15 - 11.45 am
Thu 1.15pm to 2.45pm  Bouncy Bears

We hold many special events for the children registered with the pre school but, we hold an annual "Teddy Bears Picnic" every July which is open to all children outside of the group.

La Leche League
LLL is an international organisation founded in 1956.  It is considered the world’s foremost authority on breastfeeding.  It exists to help and encourage mothers to breastfeed their babies.  LLL Leaders are ordinary mums who have enjoyed nursing their children and who have received training as breastfeeding counsellors.  To find out more about This group that meet at St Luke's please click on La Leche League.

Senior Fitness Group
ARE YOU OVER 55?

Do you feel the need for some gentle exercise, a nice cup of tea and good company.  Then join us at St Lukes church hall in City Way Rochester every Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm.  For more details contact Angie on 01634 325747 or Mobile:  07826 049396.  The exercise programme comprises of suppleness, balance, poise, coordination, stamina, muscle strengthening and cardiovascula exercises, all done to pleasant music, with a nice cup of tea afterwords.  Click on Keep Fit to view the group in action.

Homemakers
Homemakers (formerly called St Luke's Young Wives) are still a cog of St Luke's.  Our meetings are every Thursday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm with various speakers, bring and buys, quizes, jumble sales, coffee and chats, occasional visits and weekends away.

We are a friendly group so why not pop along and join us?
